In Vivo Effects of Compound Administration
The ultimate biological effect of certain agents (e.g. chemokines, cytokines, mimetics) may be direct or indirect. In vitro assays are powerful tools to evaluate direct effects but may not be adequate to reveal or evaluate indirect effects. In these cases, we recommend in vivo administration of the test compounds with subsequent assessment of various parameters such as cell counts, CFC frequency, engraftment potential, etc.
ReachBio can assess the following after in vivo administration of test compounds:
-
Blood cell counts (white blood cells, red blood
cells and platelets)
-
Colony Forming Cell (CFC) content per ml of
blood
-
Kinetics of drug activity
-
In vivo effects of drug dose
-
Comparative activity of various factors
