In Vivo Assays

Analysis of Clinical Samples

ReachBio provides specialized Contract Assay Services to a variety of life science organizations, from global biopharmaceutical companies to virtual biotech companies and start-ups. We offer a variety of standardized functional cell-based assays using normal or disease-specific primary cells (human and other species). Our standardized in vitro assays are ideal for evaluating drug toxicity, bone marrow modulation, biological mechanism and other questions. While most of our assays are performed in our own fully-equipped laboratory following Good Laboratory Practices, we also offer flexible on-site assay services upon request.

We also offer a number of in vivo assays to address a variety of biological questions, such as stem cell quantification, transplantation and engraftment kinetics, effects of compound administration, etc.

ReachBio scientists and management also have extensive experience working with CROs and biotechnology/biopharmaceutical companies during clinical trials on drug candidates. In order to ensure that drug candidates do not have any unanticipated deleterious effects on sensitive progenitor cell populations, regulatory authorities (e.g. FDA) are increasingly requiring functional cell-based assays such as hematopoietic colony forming cell (CFC) assays to be performed in conjunction with blood cell counts. ReachBio can address these and additional requirements. Full reports are provided. At the request of the sponsor, we can also attend meetings with regulatory authorities to explain the findings and answer any questions pertaining to them that may arise.
